I was very happy with this device. I used it to replace the remote on an older (early 1970's) Craftsman garage door opener. Installation was easy. Any potential buyer would need to be mindful of the placement of this device since it comes with 25 to thirty feet of bell wire, and must be plugged into an electrical outlet. You could also go to your local hardware store and buy some longer wire if needs be. I purchased two 971LM remote controllers at the same time. Programming of the two remotes was extremely easy.
