I had a Chamberlain garage door opener and needed to add an additional remote control, the original remote transmitter has the logo "Chamberlain Security+" printed on it.

Within five minutes after I unpacked the unit, I was able to open and close the garage door with the new remote!

Programming was very simple:
1. press the Program button inside the remote.
2. press the Learn button on the garage door opener.
3. Press one of the big buttons on top of the remote 3 times (3 times for my opener, others brands require more pushes).
4. the light on the opener blinked as soon as it recognized the signal.
5. press the Program button inside the remote again to end the programming.
6. Done! Press the big button to open the garage door.

The range distance was about the same as the original remote.

Overall, I am very happy with the product.
