I received this item and it took me quite some time to configure it. The problem was it was not working. At least another person I know has the same remote for the same garage openener so it is not a compatibility issue. Terribly dissapointed.

This is a wireless and keyless garage switch, it works well with my opener. It is so conveniant and secure for opening our door.
I bought this here after refusing to pay the much higher price locally. I did try another model, but this is much better. They say you can use this to open more than 1 door, but I have not tried that. if the door is open, I only need to push one button to close the door. My previous opener requires the entire code. You create your own keycode combination, and it takes about 2 minutes to install. The purple button on your liftmaster door will "train" this remote.

I was looking for something small and this fits the bill. It is very easy to program, and very easy to use. My suggestion would be not to keep it somewhere easy to accidently hit as it is very sensitive. I'll open the door then, just by putting this in a pocket, it's enough pressure to stop the process. With that in mind I would still recommend this.

Because this is a mini remote it can be difficult programming the code. The parts are much smaller than the standard remote. I had to use a paperclip to program. Otherwise, the product works great.

This product is incredible. Got in professionally installed, installer was amazed abt the amazon deal. I think Tape Drives are best and I highly recommend this.

Prior to this I had a screw drive type of a garage opener,that literally used to wake the neighbourhood up.

The installation of the new one took about 1.5 hours, came with a convenient numeric key pad, two remotes. The whole unit is very sturdy and looks very stylish.

I recommend normal 60 W lamps for this, and no CFLs. It also motion senses and turns the light on automatically, a real nifty feature.

Battery back-up is a great feature as well.

All in all, i did a detailed comparision of this product with the professionally available liftmaster, or the one available in costco. I found this a great buy because this does 3/4Hps, doest tape drive and comes with a battery backup.

Bottomline, its a 5 star product.

I had a Chamberlain garage door opener and needed to add an additional remote control, the original remote transmitter has the logo "Chamberlain Security+" printed on it.

Within five minutes after I unpacked the unit, I was able to open and close the garage door with the new remote!

Programming was very simple:
1. press the Program button inside the remote.
2. press the Learn button on the garage door opener.
3. Press one of the big buttons on top of the remote 3 times (3 times for my opener, others brands require more pushes).
4. the light on the opener blinked as soon as it recognized the signal.
5. press the Program button inside the remote again to end the programming.
6. Done! Press the big button to open the garage door.

The range distance was about the same as the original remote.

Overall, I am very happy with the product.

When we bought our house, it was an "as-is" deal and when the house was cleared out when the former owner ended up permanently hospitalized, whoever cleared it out took everything, including the remotes for the garage doors. I was looking for something that could control each of my doors separately and wasn't very expensive (after all, we'd just bought a house, so money was a little tight). So, we bought 2 of these units for our cars. Pairing them with our LiftMaster openers was simple and took a total of about 10 minutes. The only things that I'd say against these units is that they're a little cheaply made (but, then again they are inexpensive) and their range is not great - you basically have to be right in front of the door for them to work reliably. Sometimes they work from the end of our 25ft drive, but you can't count on it.

But overall, they're not expensive, they work, and they're easy to program, so I'm happy with them.

This product was purchased because I had bought a foreclosed home and did not have any openers for the garage. It was completely easy to program...took all of two seconds. However, the button seems to stick a lot. I have to pinch the sides together to get the button to release. Other than that, it was a good buy for the price.
